1. Who we are
Me First Health is a trading name of Me First Health Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. We also trade as Meu Exame UK on our Portuguese-language website.
We are not a clinic, a laboratory or a medical service. We do not give medical advice and we do not make diagnoses.
2. What we do
We help people in the UK choose a blood test, we look for collection points, prepare quotes and organise the booking, with friendly support along the way. The sample is taken and the test is analysed by independent providers (clinics, pharmacies or laboratories).
3. Sign-up and account
To make a request, you create an account with your email and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done in your account. Our services are for people aged 18 and over.
4. Prices, quote and payment
Signing up and sending your request are free and do not require any payment. The prices shown on the site are for reference.
After your request, we send a quote with one or more collection points. Each option shows the price charged by the collection point, our service fee, which is already included, and the total. The final price is the one on the quote you accept. Before any payment is taken, we tell you the total amount and how to pay.
We cannot change an accepted quote without your agreement. If you decline, nothing is charged.
5. Right to cancel
For services bought at a distance, you can cancel within 14 days after accepting the quote, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you asked for the service to start before the end of that period, we may deduct the value of what has already been done. If the test has already been carried out, cancelling may not be possible. Providers may also have their own cancellation rules, and we tell you about them before you accept.
6. Correct information
You must give us correct and complete information. We are not responsible for problems caused by wrong or incomplete information you gave us.
7. Important information about health
The tests provide information, but they do not replace a medical consultation. If you have symptoms or concerns about your health, talk to your GP or another healthcare professional. In an emergency, call 999. The results should be interpreted by a healthcare professional.
8. Independent providers
The sample collection and testing providers are independent of us. We are not responsible for the services they provide, unless the law says otherwise.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent allowed by law, our liability for losses connected with our service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in question. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow to be limited. These terms do not affect your legal rights as a consumer.
10. Privacy
We handle your data in line with our Privacy Policy.
11. Complaints
If you have a complaint, please write to hello@mefirsthealth.co.uk first. We will reply and try to solve the problem. If we cannot reach an agreement, you keep all your legal rights.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your request is the one that was on the site when you made it. The "last updated" date is at the top of the page.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also go to the courts of the place where you live.
